Sofia spent the week preparing for Easter by trying on a Easter hat. She also discovered her giraffe and found that she likes to hold it. She even got an extra special treat by being held by her Great Grandmother. We were so excited that she smiled for the first time and we anxiously await for her next ones.
One of Sofia's new favorite activities is walking around the city with Dad and doing housework in her baby carrier. However, her not-so-favorite activity is taking a bath but she enjoys hanging out in her towel after it is all over. Sofia had a great time this week meeting all of Grandma's friends at a luncheon and Mom didn't have to worry about holding Sofia the whole time!
The highlight of Sofia's forth week of life was meeting Uncle Scott and Aunt Natalia. She enjoyed a Saturday night out celebrating her Aunt and Uncle's engagement. Sofia started this week to focus on objects and seems to be fascinated with staring at ceilings:))
Sleeping is still one of Sofia's favorite activities as she is growing so fast. Her pediatrician calls her a "string bean" as she is long but skinny. She is getting to know Mom and Dad real quick and has figured out the tricks of getting in their arms as much as possible. This week she also went to her first birthday party for Grandma Susan and even got to hang with Grandpa for a bit.
Sofia took her first big trip down to Grandma and Grandpa's house and even met Joey. A stroller ride seems to be one of her favorite things to do along with a little tummy time each day. We still are working on where she likes to take naps other than in Mom and Dad's arms:))
Sofia had lots of memorable activities in the first week. She had her first doctor's appointment, Grandma met her for the first time, she had many sun bathes to get the jaundice out of her system and she even went to Crissy Field to check out the Golden Gate Bridge.
On February 7th at 2:13pm, Sofia Susan Toyos was born. She was a lot bigger than the ultrasound estimated as she weighed 7lbs 8oz at birth and was 19.5 inches long. She arrived sucking and has not stopped since. If you loose the pacifier, we are in big trouble:)) Mom and Dad enjoyed the recovery time at the hospital and all the great advice from the staff. Astor's sister, Anabel, was extremely helpful in preparing the house for our arrival.
